Why a University of London degree?
The University of London has a proven track record in distance learning. It was the first to provide opportunities worldwide for the study of its degrees through the External System in 1858.
The objective assessment is set and marked by the same academics who assess students studying courses on campus in London. There is no difference between the standards of awards whether they are obtained by external study or face-to-face at a College of the University of London.
An independent body safeguards the high quality and standard of education in the university. The University of London External System has produced at least 7 Nobel Prize winners such as Nelson Mandela, Sir Frederick Gowland Hopkins (1929), Wole Soyinka (1986), Ronald Coase (1991), Derek Walcott (1992).
The University of London External System allows for flexibility in undergraduate and graduate studies. Students can take the courses full-time or part-time while working. Registered students can take the examination for a subject as they choose and complete the undergraduate study in 3-8 years and the graduate study in 1-5 years.
